Intraoral Cameras

Our intraoral camera enables both our team as well as our patients to get a look at their smiles in unprecedented detail. A little bigger than a pen, this small device fits easily into any mouth to capture high-resolution images we can display on a nearby monitor. You’ll finally be able to see your smile from your dentist’s perspective as they go over any problem areas and discuss potential solutions. Now, you can trust that you and your dentist are always on the same page.

3D Cone Beam Imaging

Treatment planning is extremely important to ensure the success of more complicated procedures like dental implant placement. To make sure we have all the information we need and no detail is missed, we like to use our cone beam scanner during this process. It’s able to create a fully 3D X-ray image of a patient’s dental anatomy. With it, we can find the perfect locations within the jawbone to place new implants while also avoiding sensitive nerves to ensure an easy recovery.

All-Digital X-Rays

Our team uses X-rays to help us discover tooth decay, signs of gum disease, and misalignment among other things. Our dental office uses digital X-rays, which expose our patients to much less radiation than traditional ones. Dental X-rays provide our dentists with highly detailed pictures of the entire mouth, allowing them to see the roots of your teeth and the bone around them. They also help the doctors monitor the development of our younger patients’ teeth as they grow.

CEREC® Digital Impression System

Digital impressions enable our team to create highly-accurate models of our patients’ teeth without having them bite down into dental putty for minutes at a time. Instead, a small scanner is used to capture thousands of unique images of the teeth that are then pieced together by advanced software to create one cohesive image. This method creates a perfect impression the first time, every time, ensuring the quality of any treatment it is used for.

Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry might seem like something you’d only see in science-fiction, but it’s a daily reality here at Cornerstone Dental! Our Picasso diode laser helps us quickly, precisely, and painlessly remove harmful bacteria from along the gum line to help patients overcome gum disease or reduces canker sores, cold sores, fibromas, and hemangiomas. This instrument emits almost no heat, sound, or vibration, making it easy for patients to remain fully relaxed for an entire procedure even without local anesthetic.

Nitrous Oxide Dental Sedation

For those patients who feel nervous about going to the dentist, our warm and friendly team is more than ready to help. In addition to providing a calm and welcoming environment, we can also use nitrous oxide sedation. A patient simply has to breathe in the gas through a small nasal mask, and within minutes, any anxiety should quickly disappear. Even better, once the mask is removed, the gas’ effects quickly dissipate, meaning a patient can go about their day with no lasting drowsiness.
