We know that many of our patients would like to have a straight, symmetrical smile. Most of them, however, do not like the idea of having a mouthful of metal brackets and wires negatively affecting their professional adult appearance, especially for two years or longer. For our adult patients, time is precious, and they want a way to straighten their teeth quickly and comfortably.
Dr. Stacy Goodwill offers a new orthodontic solution to our patients, in the form of short term braces. This revolutionary technique helps adults achieve a straighter smile in about six months, while avoiding unsightly metal brackets and wires
of traditional braces.

What Is Short Term Braces?
Six Month Smiles® provides orthodontic treatment for adults over the age of 16, suffering from the embarrassment of a misaligned smile. Many of these patients, while self-conscious of their crooked teeth, would rather live with them than spend at least two years dealing with a mouth full of metal brackets and wires.
Six Month Smiles® offers these patients a solution that eliminates metal brackets and wires in favor of clear brackets and tooth colored wires. This allows our patients to maintain their professional appearance while the virtually invisible brackets and wires gently move their teeth into correct alignment.
Patients who want straighter teeth in their smile, but do not require corrections made to their bite, will find Six Month Smiles® an ideal treatment. Because the treatment uses low force to move the teeth over a short period of time, many patients find it more comfortable than any other orthodontic treatment. Best of all, the treatment generally costs less than traditional braces, porcelain veneers, and orthodontic aligners, making it a very attractive option for budget conscious patients.
Ideal Candidates for Short Term Braces
Candidates for Six Month Smiles® treatment should have good overall medical and dental health. The doctor will perform a check for proper occlusion during your initial consultation. Since the Six Month Smiles® program does not address occlusion, patients should have no problems with their bite at the time of treatment.
Patients suffering from dental problems with their front teeth, such as overbites and underbites, rotated teeth, and spaces between the teeth, will find the treatment ideal. Six Month Smiles® also works well for patients experiencing overcrowded teeth or an asymmetrical smile, as well as those suffering from intrusions or extrusions.
