The goal of your Fargo dentist and team at Cornerstone Dental is always to help patients keep their smiles whole and healthy. However, even the best efforts to keep teeth healthy can’t prevent all tooth decay or damage. When you do experience oral health concerns that require restorative treatment, the Cornerstone Dental team is here to help. We offer a wide range of dental services to repair even the most damaged smiles to complete, natural looking form and function. Don’t hesitate to call our office if you experience any oral health concerns. The sooner we get to work repairing your smile, we can provide more conservative treatments.
Repairing tooth decay or damage is easier than ever with tooth-colored fillings. Rather than the metal colored amalgams that noticeably marred smiles, composite resin fillings allow us to seamlessly repair your smile. We apply the putty-like resin directly to damaged teeth where it seeps into small pits and grooves. Then, we use a curing light to harden the composite resin into place, creating a flawless smile line.
Dental Crowns & Bridges
Dental crowns and fixed bridges are two of the most often used dental restorations. Dental crowns fit over the top of damaged teeth to replace lost tooth structure and restore strength and function. Fixed bridges use dental crowns to support a replacement tooth. Two crowns, one on each side, are attached to the replacement tooth. Then, the dental crowns are attached to healthy teeth to anchor the prosthetic in place. Both of these advanced restorations require two appointments to complete. During the initial visit, we prepare teeth, capture impressions, design your crown or bridge, and place a temporary. During the second appointment, we simply exchange your temporary for the custom made restoration that can be crafted from a variety of materials to ensure a quality, natural looking, and long lasting result.
CEREC Same Day Restorations
The CEREC system is a one visit restoration technology that allows us to condense the entire dental crown or fixed bridge process into just one appointment. A CEREC milling unit in our office will create a high quality, all ceramic dental restoration that rivals the quality of the best labs in the country. Best of all, there’s no need to schedule multiple appointments or place and remove a temporary. Come in with dental damage and leave with a flawless smile – it’s that easy.
Dentures & Partials
If you’ve experienced advanced tooth loss, a partial or full denture may be your best option. Partials are used to fill in the gaps between remaining healthy teeth. Full dentures completely replace an entire row of teeth. Both partial and full dentures use a gum colored base material to support numerous replacement teeth. Partials are held in place using metal clasps attached to remaining teeth, and the bases of full dentures are molded to fit against the gum line creating suction that holds the denture in position.
Single Tooth Replacement with Dental Implants
If you’ve lost a tooth, you no longer have to rely on traditional fixed bridges as your only single tooth replacement option. These traditional tooth replacement prosthetics are attached to healthy teeth with dental crowns that anchor the prosthetic into place, and that means the unnecessary loss of dental structure. Instead, we can attach a dental crown directly to an implant post to replace a single tooth and protect surrounding healthy teeth.
